Let me introduce myself



G'Day and Welcome to Balls and Bands Workouts.

An Introduction to your Trainer,

My name is Peter Hird.

I decided to build this Website because for such a long time I feel that the Media (advertising) and other Websites, have been making misleading promises or twisting the truth about Exercising, Fitness and Weight Loss.

So I thought that I would share my knowledge with you and hopefully shed some light on the many facets of Workout Routines, Health and Fitness. My hope is that you will be able to easily understand and use this Website to your advantage.

I have been interested in Fitness for many years. I have always been an active person participating in Cycling and Running. I was introduced to the first Gym that I joined because there was a free first visit and a friend of mine and I decided to have a look.

I'll be honest, it felt daunting and I was nervous, but I enjoyed it, so I joined and paid my membership. That was a lesson learnt, If you didn't go , you lost your Dough. So I never paid for a long-term membership again.

After sometime I was introduced, ever so reluctantly, to participate in an Aerobics Class. I fell over my feet and all I could see was myself in ever mirror. It felt like all of the Woman that were there were watching me, because I was the only male in the class and I had no idea of what I was doing.But as time went by I enjoyed the change of Aerobic Exercise from Cycling and I eventually found myself participating in an Aerobics Class everyday.

I did this for years and this lead me to some competitions and I studied and became a qualified Aerobics Instructor. I would teach varying styles of class from beginner to high impact advanced Aerobics.

By this time I was also doing some Resistance Training (Weights) at the same Gym where I instructed Aerobics. So to further my qualifications I studied Resistance Training and was able to gain my certification and become a qualified Personal Trainer.

I had the fantastic opportunity to work at a couple of large Fitness Centres and helped numerous people towards their Health and Fitness goals, designing programs that suited their needs.So as I mentioned I'd like to share my knowledge and clear the air when it comes to Exercise. So all that is on this website, I have experienced. Yeah, I've eaten the wrong foods, I had some injuries and I've done anything on this site that I tell you "you shouldn't".

So I've learnt from my mistakes and I hope that you can too. Just by following the info and advice on this Website.

If you have any questions I'll do my best to answer and assist you.

But there is one piece of advice I can give you and that is

"That it is up to you and you alone". You have to really want the results that you seek or you will fail. I've seen it so many times with clients in the past. They feel that they're on track but something comes along and their drive to strive is gone. Just remember that you will never fail as long as you keep taking the next step.
