I like to use an exercise ball with my abs workouts as I feel that I concentrate more on the movements and can really feel my muscles working.
I like to place my legs up on the ball while I lay on the floor to do my crunches. This helps me to keep my lower back on the floor and I feel that this isolates my abs better than if I just do it with my feet on the floor.
The exercise ball also keeps my mind on my position because of the slight movements that it adds to my workouts. I feel that I have a stronger mid section because of it.
